Background

Preconstruction & project delivery — from the field up.

Michael Pocius spent 20+ years inside some of the largest and most complex heavy civil and infrastructure projects in the Northeast — not as an outside advisor, but as the person responsible for winning and delivering them. He started as a project and field engineer, building hands-on experience across concrete, steel, deep foundations, transit systems, and urban infrastructure before transitioning into preconstruction leadership.

Over his career he has led the full preconstruction cycle on pursuits ranging from $10M bridge rehabilitations to multi-billion dollar tunnel and P3 programs — managing bid strategy, procurement planning, subcontractor solicitation and qualification, vendor coordination, scope development, schedule integration, value engineering, constructability review, and GMP negotiations directly with owners and construction managers.

He has also led the estimating and operations of a specialty deep foundations subsidiary, building the function from the ground up and directing the full procurement and delivery cycle — contracts, vendors, purchase orders, labor reporting, cost forecasting, and subcontractor agreements — across $80M+ in awarded specialty foundation contracts in the NYC metro area.

Michael founded MRM Group LLC after spending two decades at the intersection of procurement, contracts, and construction delivery — to bring that depth of knowledge directly to clients as an independent, certified, veteran-owned firm. Every engagement is led personally, with no hand-offs and full principal accountability.

Full project delivery depth.

MRM Group's capabilities span the full preconstruction and project delivery cycle — procurement strategy, contract management, vendor coordination, scheduling, cost control, and solicitation support — not just estimating.
